Itinerary

Day 01: NJP Rly Stn / IXB Airport – Kalimpong (About 85 kms / 3 hrs)

Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP station / IXB airport & transfer to Kalimpong. Kalimpong is a pretty hill station, with majestic Himalayas in the background and gently rolling hills around. It has a relaxed and unhurried air about it. On arrival check-in to your hotel & rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.

Day 02: Kalimpong – Gangtok (About 80 kms / 3 hrs)

After early breakfast, visit Mangal Dham, Deolo Hill, Dr. Graham’s Home, Durbin Dhara Hills & Flower Nurseries and back to hotel. After lunch drive to Gangtok – “The Capital City of Sikkim”. On arrival check-in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 03: Gangtok (Trip to Tsomgo Lake)

Start for a half-day excursion trip of Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13200 ft) 52 kms from Gangtok city. Tsomgo Lake freezes completely during the winter and is much revered by the locals. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 04: Gangtok

Start for a half-day city tour covering Rumtek Monastery, Dro-Dul Chorten, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, and Flower Show. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 05: Gangtok to Darjeeling

This morning proceed to Darjeeling. On arrival check-in to the hotel, rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 06: Darjeeling (Local sight seeing)

Early morning at 4.00 am drive to Tiger hill to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (28,208 ft. worlds third highest peak), on your way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast, visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-help Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view) and Japanese Temple. Evening free (walking tour of mall -suggested). Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 07: Darjeeling – NJP Rly station / IXB airport (100 kms / 3 hrs)

Morning free for packing & personal activities. Check-out from the hotel on time and take the departure transfer to NJP station / IXB airport for your onward journey.

• The tourism infrastructure in Sikkim & Darjeeling is not very developed and one should not expect or compare it with the standards of plains & other developed destinations, there is always scarcity of water and power in the region and so you would come across situation like water (hot) being supplied on time – basis morning & evening.
• In north Sikkim & Dooars, hotels are available with basic amenities.
• The guest should always keep their cool with the drivers as they are not tourism educated and come from different remote villages.
• As there is shortage of space for car parking in the entire Sikkim & Darjeeling region – guest will have to wait at the Lobby on time for the vehicle to start their sightseeing / transfers.
• We would appreciate, if the guest does not lend their ears to the drivers as most of the time they misguide the passengers. In such instances we would request them to contact our executive.
• On arrival of guests we will provide them with local contact numbers of our executive, who will handle the entire operation.
• As most of the services are on point to point basis, it is obvious that the drivers would also keep changing. Keeping this in mind please ensure that you do not leave your belongings in the vehicle as there is very little possibility of getting them back.
• In this sector, the same vehicles will not be provided for the whole tour, it will be changed sector-wise. So we request you to inform the same to your guest. Always check your baggage before you leave the vehicle.
• If any tourist spot which falls on closing day is not completed & if they want to do the same on next day then they have to pay the extra cost for the vehicle.
• If guests want any changes in their sightseeing schedule they should be informed to our executive the previous day of the scheduled program before 06:00 pm, after that no changes are allowed. If the guest informs after 05:00 pm, it will be considered as a cancellation with no refund or guest will have to pay an extra cost for the re-scheduled sightseeing.
• Please inform your guest to maintain the timing for the sightseeing / transfers which will be informed by our executive. Mainly in Gangtok, vehicle will not be allowed to be parked at the hotel but at the parking stand. Once our vehicle leaves the hotel area without picking up the guests & come back at parking stand then guest must have to arrange their own to reach the parking stand.
• Room heater available with an extra cost have to be bourne by the guest directly (Except at Premium & Luxury Packages).
• Due to shortage of power, the guest sometimes may have to bear it with candle light.
