Iknoor Travel Zone – Standard Terms & Conditions

 

Air Tickets

  • There is absolutely no credit on air tickets.
  • We accept cash / draft / credit cards / debit cards / online payment for air tickets.
  • Cheque is accepted on the condition that air ticket will be booked only after clearance of cheque. In some cases we may accept payment by if the cheque is due for clearing minimum 15 days before the journey date.
  • All rates are cash and carry rates, payable in advance. Payment via any other mode other than cash will cost extra and any sundry charges will be applicable.
  • Airfare and the rate of exchange are subject to change without prior notice due to frequent fluctuations in the rate of exchange and airfare by the airlines. Airfare cannot be guaranteed until airline PNR has been generated by the airlines itself.
  • Cancellations or rescheduling if any will be subject to airline policies.
  • We will charge an extra amount of Rs. 350 per instance for national air ticket & Rs. 550 per instance for international air ticket rescheduling or cancellation over and above the airline charges.
  • Some air tickets especially economy  air tickets are not cancellable, in that case you will not be refunded any amount. The airline policy will be the final authority on cancellations. Special Fare air tickets are not cancellable or reschedulable.
  • Any dispute regarding cancellation or service dispute with the airlines will need to be sorted directly by you and the airline. We are just acting a service facilitator.
  • Once you get an e-ticket (usually via email or a physical printout of the ticket) please confirm from the respective airline above the flight schedule / baggage / food etc. We cannot guarantee you accurate information of the same as different airlines have different policies.
  • You will need to carry a printout of the e-ticket when you board the flight.
  • Along with the e-ticket you will be required to carry valid ID proof, passport, visa documents or any other documents as mandated by the airline / country of travel or transit. For passing or travelling through some countries you will also need to have transit visa.
  • For travel within India, please check-in atleast 2 hours before the journey. For international travel please check-in 3 hours before the journey to avoid last minute hassles.
  • Baggage weight has to be confirmed directly with the respective airline if its not mentioned on the e-ticket.
  • Handbag tickets only allow handbag to be carried along and no other luggage is permitted to be taken along.
  • For travelling through some countries you will need to have Transit Visa. It is not obligatory for us to guide you or inform you of the same. We assume you have full travel knowledge of the sector for which you are booking your air ticket through us. Kindly confirm with respective airlines of any such transit visa requirements and applicable charges.

 

Holiday Packages

  • We need 50% of the total package cost plus 100% air ticket cost as advance deposit to proceed with reservation and all balance payment should be received by us on confirmation of the services. Balance payment if any must be settled 15 days prior to the pickup of the client.
  • As a general rule we will not process and cancel booking for any travel package / trip if payments are not cleared 7 working days proior to departure. No refunds will be entertained in such a condition.
  • As a general rule for land packages generally cancellations charges are as follows: Above 30 Days before departure: 30% deduction. Above 20 days before departure: 50% deduction. Above 15 days before departure: 75% deduction. Less than 15 days before departure: No Refunds.
  • The payment deadlines (if varying) will be informed on a case to case basis depending on the client’s departure date & individual cancellations policies of suppliers / service providers.
  • We reserve the full right and we will stop and cancel any trip mid-way if payments are not cleared. No refunds will be entertained. In such case the liability to clear the pending payment will be of the client.
  • The details of the sightseeing tours mentioned are indicative. The same may differ, depending on various factors and although utmost care is taken to cover all commitments, but due to unforeseen circumstances and last minute changes the same cannot be guaranteed.
  • The hotel names in package are given for guideline purpose. The confirmation could be in the same or alternate hotels in exactly similar category and star rating.
  • Any increase in the rate of exchange of foreign currency, which may come into effect prior to the departure, it will lead to an increase in the tour package price. Any difference in price will be payable by the client before departure. The rate on the given day will however apply.
  • In case of adjoining / interconnecting room request, it can not be guaranteed or confirmed prior to arrival, due consideration is given at the time of check-in.
  • In case a specific product/service and or a component of the package are not available, we offer an alternative product/service and or component of the package which results into change of price.
  • Cancellations or rescheduling if any will be subject to actual service provider policies.
  • Refunds for cancelled services (if approved by original service provider) will be refunded back to the customer in around 40 working days, after deducting any charges that may have incurred by original service provider. Iknoor Travel Zone will charge additional 2% of package cost as cancellation charges.
  • Once a reservation is confirmed, any amendment or change and or cancellation are subject to an amendment fees and or cancellation charge. Iknoor Travel Zone will charge additional Rs 300 per person for each and every amendment above the actual service provider charges.
  • Train tickets / sightseeing passes must be validated before the journey. Reservations for some sectors are compulsory but not included in the ticket / pass cost. Such reservations will be quoted at the time of booking and must be borne by the client directly.
  • Wherever not quoted all such sightseeing entry passes have to be purchased directly by the client on location.
  • Tax as per Govt of India norms is applicable on all travel packages.

 

Hotel Booking

  • Please note we own no hotel or resort or accommodation on our own. We are a third party service facilitator only.
  • Room occupancy is always subject to availability.
  • Child policy and applicable charge is different from hotel to hotel, depending on the age of the child, numbers, with or without bed requirement. Final authority is the hotel on any such issue.
  • Extra bed charges are applicable for all children above the age of 6 years.
  • In case of early check, it can not be guaranteed or confirmed prior to arrival, due consideration is given at the time of check-in.
  • Official Check In at the Hotel is after 1400 Hrs or as per hotel policy and standard Check Out is 1200 hrs. Some hotels may vary on check-in and check-out timings. Individual hotel policy for check-in & check-out will be applicable. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel.
  • Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  • Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy plus and additonal charge of 20% of total stay cost.
  • Booking is processed on full payment only. Incase you make a less payment (which in no case can be less than 50% of the total cost of stay), we will block the room for you and you will then have to release the full payment. Failure to do so will result in release of the rooms and your initial payment will not be refunded back.
  • There may be instances when some hotels may demand early or immediate payment, we will communicate the same to you and you will have to arrange the same as per hotel date supplied.
  • Once a reservation is confirmed, any amendment or change and or cancellation are subject to an amendment fees and or cancellation charge.
  • Name changes will be considered as cancellation in a booking.
  • Each booking will be considered as a seperate individual case, payment for which is not transferrable.
  • Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply.
  • Non payment of any balance amount 7 days prior to check-in or 15 days before checkout date will be considered as cancellation in a booking, and advance will not be refunded back.
  • There are absolutely no refunds on any unutilized services.
  • As a general rule our cancellations charges are as follows: Above 30 Days prior to check-in: 25% deduction. Till 20 days before check-in: 50% deduction. Till 15 days before check-in: 75% deduction. Less than 15 days prior to check-in: No Refunds.
  • Refunds for cancelled services (if approved) will be refunded back to the customer in around 40 working days, after deducting any charges that may have incurred by original service provider. Additonal charges may be levied by Iknoor Travel Zone on any such cancellations.
  • Cancellation policy of Iknoor Travel Zone will supersede cancellation policy of any Hotel / Resort etc.
  • Refunds will be made by cheque only. A sum or Rs. 150 will be levied for cheque charges.
  • In some hotels guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in.
  • As per regulations, it is mandatory for all guests to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. We do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  • Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year’s eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charges are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  • Hotels rates vary during long weekends and other special days. Any increase in price during such days has to be borne directly by the customer and paid to the hotel by the customer during his stay, before checkout.
  • There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  • All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  • Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance.
  • We are a travel and holiday organizers only. We do not control or operate any airline, neither do we own or control any car rental company, coach company, hotel, cruise liner, apartment, transport, amusement park or any other facility or service mentioned in the quotation or included in the package. We take utmost care in selecting each and every ingredient in your holiday; but because we select and some cases inspect them but have no control in running them, we cannot be responsible for any delay, improper services provided by any of our supplier, airline, car rental company, cruise liner, coach company, hotel, apartment, transport or any other facility or service, for any injury, death, loss or damage which is caused by the act or default of the management or employees of any airlines, car rental company, hoteliers, coach company, apartment company, amusement park or and any other supplier who are company’s independent contractor arising outside our normal selection or inspection process. We are also not responsible for the delay or deficiency in services provided by a tour operator, airlines, car Rental Company, cruise liner, Coach Company, apartment, hotels, amusement park and any provider of services. All customers / agents are strongly advised to do their own diligence before booking any of the services provided by the us
  • Tax as per Govt of India norms.

 

Cab & Taxi

  • Minimum 50% amount of total trip charges is required to make a booking, and total payment has to be made at the start of trip without exception. Failure to do so we may refuse service, without any refunds.
  • A booking confirmation voucher / email will be sent to the customer via email only after full and final payment has been made.
  • Before availing the cab/taxi it is important to produce booking confirmation voucher.
  • Duty slip has to be filled by customer with proper notice of starting and ending kms ensured by signature of customers.
  • Vehicles starting and ending kms will be calculated from our garage location.
  • When customer books with us it means he agrees to all our terms and conditions.
  • Any kind of change in pickup time or place can be done before 24hrs of pickup. No change will be done after 24hrs.
  • Customer is supposed to pay waiting charge in case of delay (be it for any reason) exceeding more than 30 minutes from scheduled pickup time.
  • At the time of pickup if customer doesn’t arrive for more than 60 minuets without informing the driver or team, then it will be considered as no show and whole booking amount will be forfeited.
  • In extreme cases there may be circumstances beyond our control or in some emergency – incase, customer has confirmed the cab and because of some problem cab fails to arrive the pickup location, then we arrange the alternative cab / driver; failing to do so all amount paid to company will be refunded in 7 working days, Besides this any expense like hotel stay charges, flight ticket charges, or any other type of monetary exspenses which customer beared as result of no show of cab will not be beared by IKNOOR TRAVEL ZONE its employees and owners.
  • We reserve our right to change any vehicle or driver midway of any trip without assigning any reason whatsoever. In such case a similar category vehicle would be provided.
  • All bookings run from 12:00 to 12:30 midnight. For reference if customer books cab on 1st March with pickup time of 1:30 pm, this one day is valid till 1st March 11:59 pm and not 2nd March 1:30 pm.
  • Local car rentals and transfers are valid only within city; any request or use of vehicle outside the city can be denied by the driver or it will be charged extra.
  • Customers are expected not to believe the distance and time of travel as stated on internet as the actual distance and time differs in reality depending on various geopgraphical factors and also traffic.
  • We are not responsible for any loss, damage or delay suffered by the customer due to force majeure event.
  • Iknoor Travel Zone cannot be hold accountable for any loss, damage, physical injury etc suffered by customer while availing our services.
  • In no event the entire liability of Iknoor Travel Zone for any loss or damage arising due to cab services or in the case of a valid refund claim shall not exceed the booking amount paid by the customer.
  • In case of any misconduct or misbehaviour, customer should immediately contact the helpdesk of Iknoor Travel Zone and immediate steps will be taken.
  • Parking included in the package is only for one time, if customer visits same place more than once then it is to be paid by the customer.
  • Customer can extend his booking from one way or local to roundtrip or multicity while he is on booking. A special request can be made by email only; and our team will guide the customer how to go on furthur without interrupting his trip, though we may also refuse the same.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY:
    1) Cancellation before 48 hrs of pickup – amount of 25% or Rs. 2000 will be deducted (whatever is higher).
    2) Cancellation before 24 hrs of pickup time then, 50% of total booking amount or Rs 4000 will be deducted (whatever is higher).
    3) Cancellation before 12 hrs of pickup time then, 100% of total booking amount will be deducted. No Refund.
    4) The refunds will be made by online transfer to the customer’s bank account. No cash refund requests.
    5) The amount will be refunded approximately within 7 to 15 business days.
  • Driver and Cab details: – The details will be sent approx. 12 hours before the time of pickup.
  • Air conditioner in vehicle will not work in hilly areas and when vehicle is not running.
  • The areas which require special permission for travelling are not included like Rohtang Pass and Pahalgam sightseeing (where sightseeeing not allowed by local taxi union).
  • During trip if hotel doesnot have parking at night then it is to be paid by the guest (incase parking included in package even).
  • Your amount always (leaving exceptional cases) – include toll, tax charges, driver charge, fuel charge. You need not to pay to driver unless asked by us.

 

Visa

  • We do not issue any visa personally.
  • We do not guarantee visa for any country. Acceptance of visa is the prerogative of the issuing authority and is final binding on all parties concerned.
  • Visa fees charged by the embassy & visa service facilitator is non-refundable.
  • We charge a nominal non-refundable visa processing fee usually 500-2000 INR over and above the visa fees + facilitator fees.
  • Visa + Facilitation Fees are payable in full advance at the time of application, and are non-refundable even if visa is rejected.
  • For all international travel customer must ensure visa is obtained atleast 2 weeks prior to journey.
  • Visa is mandatory for international travel on all such places where visa-on-arrival facility is not available to travellers.
  • Service tax applicable on visa charges.

 

Payment & General Terms & Conditions

  • The cost and the services mentioned as per the package is subject to change as per availability.
  • For international travel packages / air tickets prices are valid for quote date only. Because of dollar / INR conversion rate fluctations cost is likely to change without notice.
  • All payments should be made in favour of Iknoor Travel Zone, payable at Chandigarh.
  • No refund on unutilized services.
  • Taxes extra as applicable.
  • Interest @ 24% applicable on all outstanding payments.
  • Rates not applicable during any meetings, incentive, conference, trade fair and high season.
  • Disputes are subject to Chandigarh jurisdiction only.

IKNOOR TRAVEL ZONE will not be liable for claims or expenses arising from circumstances beyond our control such as accidents, injuries delayed or cancelled flights & acts or forces of nature, or the services of original service providers and suppliers.

We are travel and holiday organizers only. We do not control or operate any airline, neither do we own or control any car rental company, coach company, hotel, cruise liner, apartment, transport or any other facility or service mentioned in the quotation or included in the package.

We take utmost care in selecting each and every ingredient in your holiday; but because we select and some cases personally inspect them but have no control in running them, we cannot be responsible for any delay, improper services provided by any supplier, airline, car rental company, cruise liner, coach company, hotel, apartment, transport or any other facility or service, for any injury, death, loss or damage, physical or otherwise which is caused by the act or default of the management or employees of any airlines, car rental company, hoteliers, coach company, apartment company or and any other supplier who are company’s independent contractor arising outside our normal selection or inspection process.

We are also not responsible for the delay or deficiency in services provided by any supplier, tour operator, airlines, car rental company, cruise liner, coach company, apartment, hotels, and any provider of services. All such disputes must be settled by you and the actual service provider directly.

All passengers must be covered by suitable travel / health insurance prior to departure from the country of origin and during their travel. Customer will be responsible for getting himself insured.

NOTICE ON LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS

For a great experience we encourage our customers to make bookings well in advance of your travel date. Any booking or service availed from us within 7 days of travel date / pickup / check-in date is considered last minute booking by us. We do not prefer last minute booking of any service at all. If you book a service through us with less than 7 days for the travel date we will not refuse you service but we do not gurantee the service to be error free, as a lot of planning goes into making your trip error free, but with last minute boooking you have denied us that preveliege for planning. So in such a situation you are underaking the service from us solely at your own risk, and we will not be responsible for any service flaws or disruptions in any service sourced from us. You undertake to hold us non liable for discrepencies in service if you use our services. Kindly note there are no refunds on last minute bookings.
