Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Paro by Druk Air – Thimphu
Fly into Bhutan with Drukair (Royal Bhutan Airline). As you arrive at Paro Airport, you will have magnificient view of the mountains, green vegetation, river, farmland and houses around airport. Received by our representative at the airport and after completion of airport formalities, drive to Thimphu. Evening take a stroll around local market. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
Day 02: Thimphu – Paro (55 km, 2 hrs)
Today’s sightseeing in Thimphu valley includes, visit to National Library, a treasure trove of priceless Buddhist manuscripts. The Traditional Medicine Institute, where centuries old healing arts such as acupuncture and herbal remedies are still practised. The Painting School, where young monks learn the art of Buddhist thangkha. Then visit, Textile and Folk Heritage Museum, a fascinating testimony of Bhutanese material culture and living traditions. After lunch, visit Tashichhodzong, ‘the fortress of the glorious dharma’. It is the centre of government and religion, site of King’s throne room, National assembly hall, and seat of Je Khenpo or Chief Abbot. Also visit King’s Memorial Chorten continuously circumbulated by His Majesty’s subjects, spinning prayer wheels and murmuring mantras. Then, visit Handicrafts Emporium and local shops if you like to browse through example of Bhutan’s fine traditional arts. Here you can buy textiles, thangkha paintings, masks, ceramics, slate and wood carvings, jewellery, interesting items made from local materials, and all manner of unique objects.
Day 03: Paro
In the morning, take an excursion to Taktsang Monastery. Legend says that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is called ‘Tiger’s Nest’. This site has been recognized as a most sacred place and visited by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646 and now visited by all Bhutanese at least once in their lifetime. While returning to hotel visit en route, Kyichu Lhakhang, built in the 7th century by the Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo. In the evening, visit local market and overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Day 04: Depart Paro
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to onward destination. Our representative will help you with exit formalities and then bid you farewell.

There shall be no charge for children upto the age of 5 years. However, those between the ages of 6 to 12 years accompanied by elders/guardians receive a 50% discount on daily rates.
